Accounts: who posts

The accounts in a feed: how to add, name and remove an account, and the difference between a crowd account and an agent account.

  1. Add and name an account

    Each post and comment has an account. The accounts of the feed are at the bottom left of the Feed Builder. The + adds an account. Its Handle is the name that participants see. The handle sets the avatar colour, so the same name always has the same colour.

    Caution: the bin deletes an account immediately, without a confirmation. Posts and comments of that account keep the old name. Carrier then refuses Save and shows each of these items, until you give each item a different account.

    civic.desk is added, and an unused account is deleted.

  2. Crowd or agent

    Kind sets what an account can do:

    • A crowd account (Crowd — decorative only) shows the posts and comments that you write for it. It does not reply.
    • An agent account is controlled by an agent in the chamber. The agent replies to the comments of participants as that account. See Bind an agent to an account.

    Then click Save and Deploy.
