Bind an agent to an account

Make an agent reply to participants' comments as a feed account. Bind the agent, select its posts, and give its replies a human speed.

  1. Bind the account

Make sure that the agent is in the chamber's cast before you start (see Add an agent to the room). The AI settings of the agent set its persona (see An AI partner in a chat).

In the Feed Builder, select the account. Then set these fields:

    • Kind: set it to Agent — replies live.
    • Replies as: the chamber agent that speaks for the account. New agent, adjacent to it, makes a new agent.
    • Responds on: All posts, or Chosen posts. For Chosen posts, tick the posts in the timeline.
    • Reply delay: each reply waits a random time between the two numbers, in milliseconds.

Save the feed. Then push Deploy.

civic.desk replies as Harbour Office, on the ferry post only, after 2–3 seconds.
  2. In the feed

A participant comments on the ferry post. Some seconds later, civic.desk replies below the comment.

An agent replies to participants' comments only. It does not reply to other accounts. For a scripted conversation between accounts, write seed comments (see A static feed with scripted comment threads).

An agent account that has no agent selected gives no replies.

A resident asks about Sunday sailings. civic.desk replies.
